Hey, look! Mungo and Morgainne have already installed a galvanized tub as a sink. In fact there’s two tubs, but the top two pictures illustrate what I want to do with complete clarity. Love it!

Mungo from thefloatingempire.com here. A) love your blog and B) if you decide to do as we have with the steel tub, I've a few suggestions based on our experience. First, be rather careful about the opening you cut for the tub, making sure it fits well. Then pay a good deal of initial attention to sealing the thing to your counter. It took us a couple of tries.
On the whole, though, our two tub system has worked spectacularly well, with no problems and very few hassles, and, since we cook a LOT, it makes it possible to do a great number of dishes. We're really good at dirtying them.
