14 May 98 Have been very tired all day. Very good job prospect on horizon. Wish me luck. Major strides on the research for MSProject class. Got Manpower paycheck today, will pay for next week's childcare. New provider. Twink's kid's been sick a long time, she may go out of business. Have been terribly needy lately, and also worried over stepping over boundarywith friend. I think it's going to be ok though. Just have to be very careful, real hearts here, real pain. 15 May 98 Huz had day off, we took train to DC, subway to the Mall, checked out Natural History Musueum, the (I forgot it's name, something like "Hoshhorn"??) Art Museum and Sculpture Garden, and the National Air & Space Museum. Kids were too tired and cranky for any in-dept observation, but it was good anyway. George Segal had a retrospective going on at the art museum; we saw most of it, sculptures of people made of plaster cast, some of which are quite disturbing, some whimsical. We all loved the fountain at the donut-shaped building's center. It's stream rises and falls unpredictably. Crowds were thick, it being the first sunny day in a long time, even if it was a weekday. Kids and I grabbed a nap then ran over to minister's house to get the stuff for tomorrow's yard sale. Minister loaded up his van as well and so it was only one trip, plus whatever he brings in the morning. Huz had been sccrewing around with the computer earlier today, so when I powered it up, it didn't go. Found some cabling problems and tried again, four, five times. Finally found the cable to the primary hd in backwards, that was my doing, it had been disconnected completely. I nearly had a fit. If this machine dies, I gotta lotta hardship.
