Pics Pics Pics!

My sweet friend  Jane scanned in some pics for me, so now you can see a range of "me"s.  She did some straight scans and portrait effects and some photo grafts that are pretty wild.  I used the Xena one at my Firefly site.  My name is SpringDew in there.

Remember I promised a pic of my ex-hubby?  He's in there, but for your convenience, he's here too.

Have you seen this guy?  If you know him, tell him I miss him.  Yeah, I know.  Go figure.

Anyway, like all pics, each has a story, so here are the stories in as much brevity as I can manage.  Doing the first link I mentioned; since Jane made the images on the second page, those stories are hers.  :)

The first three are portraits, obviously.  Not much story there, and what little there is, I told already.

The next is me just before Desert Storm, note no fruit salad on the chest.

The one after that is in California, note lots of largely undeserved fruit salad.

The first polaroid is exactly what it looks like, two basic trainees on paint detail.  I'm the one on the right.

The second is Maggy and me, looking tough.  I have lost touch with Maggy :( and she was one of the dearest friends I ever had.  Met her during hard times, more so for her than me.  Miss her dreadfully.

French maid from "A Flea in Her Ear."  The costume chick sheared my dress up so far, the audience was well aware of all my attributes.  I learned to live with it.  Besides, she was cool, I could never hold a grudge.

Grand Canyon.  I highly recommend going in the off-season, like January, and getting to know the locals.  I dunno if the dome-shaped bar is still a bar (Becky's?), but I got rather close to its clientele for a week or so.  Good memories.

Jane and Erin.  Makes me feel good that I look like Erin.

Seeing the hubby off at the ariport.  He did a long stay overseas, well three months, that's long enough.  That's my older boy there, he calls himself Moomie.  He was a lot younger then.

B Company Run Team, Presidio of Monterey, CA.  We got our pic taken cuz we actually won!!!  Hehe the competitions work like this.  Each team has to choose six of their people to run in formation as fast as possible.  Six for the female competition, as females were scarcer.  Nine for males.  Anyway, you stay in formation, and if you lose anyone, your team is disqualified, so the whole bunch can only go as fast as you can coerce the slowest one to go.  I was the slowest one.  Stressful position to be in.  But also the proudeset if ya win.

"Lifespan" 10K of the Oaklnad Bay Bridge and vicinity.  It was a tough 10k for me, and I was slow, but I finished, and felt good about it.  By the way, 10K=6.2 miles.

The last is the one you know already, taken in April, I think, in Nebraska.

Now that you've seen Jane's handiwork, I just gotta show you one of mine:

Hope ya don't mind my using this, Zach.  If ya do, lemme know and out this will go.

Speekina pictures, I don't have one of Lyddie to scan in for her memorial webpage.  Gonna have to roam the net and see if any news agency or something has one handy.  For something like five years she wasn't really a part of my life; guess this is a last chance to integrate her into what's probably the dominating arena in my life, the net.

Searching for a background.  She wouldn't want anything floral or mushy, she was a tomboy, like me.  Actually more so.  Maybe I was a tomboy wannabe.

Anyway, pics are on my mind.
