Hated
So, I found out recently that somebody really, really hates me, and has for like a year or more. This is kind of different, but what’s so sad is the why. She hates me because she feels betrayed. She thought I liked her and wanted to be her friend, which is completely and entirely true. I like her a great deal. However, first I friended and then I began seeing someone who, as I found out much later, was her longtime ex, whom she hates with all the fires of hell. So, hooking up with him was a great big betrayal, to her way of thinking.
I had no idea.
Now she’s taken up with somebody else I like and had a pretty decent friendship with, I thought. I’d noticed he doesn’t talk to me much anymore, but I’m used to moody geeks and thought nothing of it. Well, now I know why.
What a loss. What a sad, needless pity.
