A falsely “elected” president that thinks he has a mandate directly from his God and behaves as if he’s now King of the USA… what can we do to stop this madness? The Patriot Act is such a frightening example of 1984 Doublespeak… was Orwell simply off by 20 years?
Voting alone doesn’t seem to be enough judging by the last election results. The mainstream press in this country acts simply as corporate mouthpieces, concerned only with advertising revenue not the truth. The Guerrilla News Network has a number of extremely interesting stories posted at their site.
I just watched the movie “The Matrix” again last week. So many things in that movie point out what’s going on in our country – the constant, non-stop media stream to consume being pushed on people at every waking moment. According to our “president”, to be patriotic you MUST be a good consumer and continue to spend and spend. And no questioning the construct of our economy or government is to be allowed if he has his way! The Smiths, the Supervisors, they look and act just like government agents – always multiplying, they are everywhere and almost impossible to kill off (their budgets, their authority).
A lot of people are asleep, preferring their dreams in a world of happy consumerism to the reality of the current madness. Dissent has become dangerous. But once you’ve taken the red pill…
