Water

The waves rolled against my calves as Boober clung to me tightly, his shrieks of delight carrying a slight edge of panic.  One crashed a little higher, a little stronger, and the panic began to win.
    "Mommy!  I'm scared!"
"I've got you, baby.  What are you scared of?"
    "The water."
"What are you afraid it will do?"
"Mommy, I'm afraid it will water me away!"

Moomie asked me on the way back, "Mom, how did the ocean get so much salt in it?"  I don't know the answer to that one.  He also asked me what you mix with acid to make water, because he had forgotten.  Whoa, I've forgotten, too.  In fact, I didn't remember that you could mix something with acid to get water, but it sounds vaguely right.

Boober just figured out a way to stick a Diet Coke can to a construction paper set of antlers.
