  One Very Long Dull Footnote

New Jersey is probably the most selfish, rashest, harshest, most impatient state I have ever lived in.  I think I love it.  Where else is smoking a national pastime?  Where else is the enforcement of speed limits so lax?  Where else is self service at the gas pump nonexistent?  This place is saturated with an attitude that makes it a hybrid of big city style hustle and wild west bravado.  It's a place that swaggers at it scurries.  It's charming, in a Danny DeVito way.
I painted some last night.  It's been years since I applied a paintbrush to anything in the name of art.  I don't count the truck because I did that with a spray can and a sponge.  The picture of the ancient modem was too firmly implanted in the frame, so a change of plan was called for.  The paint was applied directly to the glass.  It's oil-based enamel, so it's ok.  I have only one color, though, a sunflower kind of yellow.  Some of the figures now exist, hovering over the face of the modem.  I like the shadow, how it adds a softness yet a harshness to the images.  I need a finer brush, though.  Mine is missing and the near misses are just too blunt.
Ooooh I just found some special nail polish used for stripes.  It's very rubbery, in fact it resembles the consistency of the enamel almost exactly.  Now maybe I have two colors.  This is a glaring purple.

[This is dull.  Skip it at your leisure.]

The water in the toilet is almost fluorescent.  I wonder which of my new dietary supplements I owe this to.  El Prez's homeopathist put me on such a regimen!  I mean, look at this*:

Evening Primrose Deluxe - 3 times per day
Supergram III Vitamin C & assorted vitamins & minerals - twice per day
Ginkgo Phytosome plus Choline - twice per day
Power-Plex multivitamin with C - once per day
    Bromelain - once per day
Vitamin B6 - once per day, in the evening

So it breaks down like this:

Breakfast - one Primrose, one Supergram, and one Ginkgo
Lunch - one Primrose, one Power-Plex, and one Bromelain
Supper - one Primrose, one Supergram, one Ginkgo, and one B-6

The B-6 is the only small one in the lot.  It's quite a challenge choking down the horse pills.  Allegedly, this mixture will boost my immune system and improve my memory and mental acuity.  We'll see.  Apparently, it takes 30 days or so to find out.

Ok, here's what I'm wondering about.  Some of these things have the same ingredients as others.  Am I getting too much of something?  Are they well enough balanced against other nutrients?  I know that with some mineral pairs, you have to keep them in balance, regardless the quantities, or else you'll get ill.  I think Potassium is in one of these pairs.  Mostly I'm concerned about redundancy between the Power-Plex and the Supergram III.  Here's the pileups:

Vitamin A (Beta Carotene):
2500 IU Supergram (multiply x 2)
10000 IU Power-Plex

Vitamin C:
1000 mg Supergram (multiply x 2)
300 mg Power-Plex

Vitamin B1:
.75 mg Supergram (multiply x 2)
25 mg Power-Plex

Vitamin B2:
.85 mg Supergram (multiply x 2)
25 mg Power-Plex

Vitamin B3:
10 mg Supergram (multiply x 2)
25 mg Power-Plex

Vitamin B6:
5 mg Supergram (multiply x 2)
100 mg B6

Vitamin B12:
? Supergram (multiply x 2)
200 mg Power-Plex

Potassium:
40 mg Supergram (multiply x 2)
100 mg Power-Plex

Calcium:
35 mg Supergram (multiply x 2)
26 mg Power-Plex

Magnesium:
35 mg Supergram (multiply x 2)
7.2 mg Power-Plex

20 mg Power-Plex

Bioflavonoids:
12.5 mg Supergram (multiply x 2)
25 mg Power-Plex

So, don't some vitamins kill you if you mega-dose?  Am I mega-dosing?  Just how much is 15,000 IU of Vitamin A?  I'm getting 2300 mg of Vitamin C.  I hear that the excess of C goes down the toilet, so that's not so worrisome.  I thought Folic Acid and some of the B's were bad in too high concentrations.  I guess I'm gonna do research.  Sigh.
