I'm on an install frenzy at the moment. I just installed a buttload of
browsers. There already was IE 5 and Netscape 4.08, but now there's also Netscape 6, Mozilla 1.1a, Opera 6.04, K-Meleon 0.6, and OffByOne 3.2.J.2.
Now I'm installing Cygwin and MI/X, both of which have to do with Unix emulation on Windows, from what I understand. The aim is to eventually remote control Eddie through Herman, although I also intend to use Eddie from the console as well. Just expanding my options.
I haven't felt comfortable with either KDE or GNOME as I found them on Eddie. They feel way too Fisher-Price for me, all molded corners and careful-don't-hurt-yourself menus. So I guess I'll be looking for other window managers, or other ways to use existing window managers, for the console also.
