Tomato Sandwiches

I really, really, really need a different monitor. What mine is doing to color is horrific. I just looked at my journal from work, and the glowy greenness was just too much, just way, way, way too much. It's very difficult to design around this, knowing that what pleaseing color combinations I dream up at home are going to look like crud everywhere else. :-P

Maybe there's an adjustment in mine I can use to get a more accurate rendering. I'll just need to use Napalm's monitor to calibrate off of.

I still feel down, actually, just not as low as before. I think my hormones are a mess. When I'm really down, I can't do much on the computer, especially nothing creative. I'd rather explore the TV or sleep or do something physical, like hammer the gate back together.

I feel a little disoriented today. I am sure part of that is the ear infection, and part of that is going too long before putting on my glasses this morning. But part of it also is that the people have changed round. Some folks seem to have changed shifts. A person gets used to seeing the same people day in and day out, so it's a little unsettling to see whole other people. Not strangers - I know these folks. Just not the same folks.

Part of it too is that I am out of smokes. And the bum fund is empty.

The bum fund was an idea to assist people who have run out of smokes. It starts with one pack, and if you need a smoke, you drop a quarter into the jar. It pays for itself. Sadly, I have not been able to get to the store to buy the next pack of smokes. Even today, I have no wheels, and I dunno if I can make the walk to the store and back again on my lunch break.

Lunch break... mmmmmmmm... Oh, lunch today is tomato sandwiches. With mayo. This is the one meal I can think of that is an exception to the meat rule. For me, every meal must have some meat, else it just doesn't get me full. For some reason (probably the oh-so-fat-filled mayo) a tomato sandwich does the trick just fine.
