*kisses*

I love you so much.

We went to the egg hunt yesterday at the time stated on the flyer, in cold and misty conditions, to discover they had the hunt early and all the eggs were gone. Boober scrounged a few prizes, and we helped ourselves to some balloons. Moomie lost three balloons within fifteen minutes, and he was heartbroken. The first two times were careless accidents but the third time, the balloon came loose at the other end of the string. That was the balloon that his brother had given him after he lost his second one. *sigh* He was bawling. The string of disappointments was hard on him.

We left early.

After a bit of a nap, which I sorely needed, we gathered up the four dozen boiled eggs and went looking for matzoh, the flat bread for Passover. The local store was all out of "kosher for Passover" matzoh but had plenty marked "not kosher for Passover." WTF??!! Passover is the only time of year matzoh becomes important, so why the hell make any that isn't useful for then?

At the next store, I went down the kosher aisle and found the same result. We were in danger of running very late by this point so I grabbed up a whole bunch of the non-Passover stuff and headed for the reigsters. As I was leaving the store, the announcer, bless his heart, said, "Welcome to Shop Rite, where we have all your Passover needs, from gefilte fish to Passover matzoh. Just look for our Passover display in the ice cream aisle."

Ice cream aisle???!!!! We went back and loaded up on all the right kind of matzoh and headed for Customer Service to do the exchange.

Fortunately, getting to the house was as easy as I had hoped. It was a good seder and dinner. Lots of people showed; the house got crowded enough to flip the switch on my phobia, so I had to go outside for a breather and I spent the rest of the dinner on the stairs, apart from the crowd in the living room. But the kids had a lot of fun, and the food was good, and the people were very nice, so it went well.

I came home exhausted.

Whew. I think I am gonna copy the above into my journal. The poor thing's been neglected for weeks.

Napalm had written me that he had to wait until he got to work to get online, as he was supposed to go to a housewarming party, so I got to catch up with Rebar. I haven't had more than a word or two at a time with him over the last few weeks. We caught up on all the latest news, and he wants to know when I am moving to Florida.

I am really starting to seriously think about it.

Between him and Napalm, it was 2 am before I got to bed. Goodness gracious I was beat. Thank god I got to sleep in today. It's rainy and cold outside, so I was not inclined toward church anyway.

Today we'll be taking the plastic off the windows. Spodie will be happy to have windows to sit in again. One day last week I saw three other cats basking in apartment windows in my complex. Two calicos and a grey tabby.

The sidewalks have begun to sprout washing machines and refrigerators again. Especially fridges. The extra rain seems to have spurred a bumper crop.

Boober just asked me for a lollipop. I asked him what he would give me in return. He said he couldn't think of anything, so I suggested he pick up all the toys in his room. He's at that now.

*huge warm kisses* *total snuggly hugs* You've had such a string of bad luck. I need to find a good luck thing for you and send it. I love you so much.
