Yay for Our Team

When is a Democrat a conservative? When it's a tax cut bill. This is just weird to me. The Republicans wanna go and change everything and be all radical, while the Democrats are saying, hey wait, let's slow this thing down a little, take it a step at a time. What gives?

Course, right after I wrote that down on my hand, the very next day I hear someone on the radio echoing me, and furthermore, pointing out at least five other ways that the Republicans are being "liberal" and the Democrats "conservative," to include Social Security reform and education.

That sighing sound was the wind going out of my sails. *grin*

I also happened to catch Charles Stenholm on the radio, during an interview, and i started to laugh because every sentence he said had either "we Blue Dogs" or "us Blue Dogs" in it. Now, I do realize what Blue Dog Democrats are, but the way he kept up with the references, it was like being at a pep rally. Yay for our team! We are the Blue Dogs and we are gonna save the country! I was wondering if he were on the verge of forming a whole new party.

By the way, I am neither a Blue Dog, nor a Democrat.
