Yesterday

Yesterday I went for the follow-up at the doctor's, and I happened to be having a bad day, though it got much worse last night. Oh god did I suffer last night. Anyway, we talked more and he still seems to think it's depression, but he did at least decide to run some labs and rule some other stuff out:

The CBC is the blood count that everyone is familiar with. Sed is sedimentation, and can indicate inflammation, even if the inflammation is otherwise undetected. I forget what SMA7 is. Thyroid has to do with the function of the thyroid gland. Impaired liver function can cause fatigue, and can indicate certain illnesses that need to be treated. Also here are lyme titer, HIV and ANA. Either ANA or SMA7, I don't recall which, can indicate lupus.

The local lab is swamped at the moment, but I'll go today and have these drawn, and then when the results get back, I'll go in for a followup.

I also had my pap yesterday. I seem to have landed a really good doctor and am already feeling rather confident about his ability to handle the situation well. Next pap is due three months from now. Their clinic monitors for two years after an abnormal cervical situation, not one year like my last clinic.
