mimosa wisdom
This is the last non-LJ journal. It does not have a table of contents, so you can either see the first page and work your way forward, or you can look at the masterlist of all journal entries.

connected - green - 19 Sep 01 to 18 Dec 02
"connected" is actually one journal, rather than two, much like "Warehouse" below. However, there is a definite change at this point - a heartbreak, actually. Again, there is no table of contents, so work your way forward from the first entry, work your way back in time from the last entry, or just see the masterlist.

coNNected - red/pink - 11 Mar 00 to 18 Sep 01
No table of contents, so use the navigational links on the first entry or the last entry; or see the masterlist. Coming out of the trauma reflected in "offline/from immolation" below, I wanted to reconcile all the fragmented pieces of my life, so the whole concept of connecting things back together again made sense as a theme for my journal.

offline/from immolation - 15 Feb 00 to 10 Mar 00
This is a transitional thing during a time of emotional pain. Again, no table of contents. Navigate from the first entry, the last entry, or the masterlist. I spew a lot of crap here. Probably as painful for you to read as it was for me to be me.

the Hangar...flight and soda - 8 Jul 98 to 7 Feb 00
Yet another journal with no table of contents. Navigate from the first entry, the last entry, or the masterlist. Here I was finding my own wings and my own way, after leaving my ex-husband. As a transitional device between "Warehouse" and this journal, I created a pair of fake news items from the fictitious Farmingdale Globe.

Quick and Dirty
Finally, a table of contents! Even if it has only four links. These are experiments in CGI journalling, before LiveJournal, I do believe, at a time when journallers I knew were authoring their own CGIs. I didn't yet know anything about scripting, and so was trying to find other ways around the challenge. Not really in chronological order here, as part is concurrent with "Hangar" and part with "coNNected".

Warehouse - green - 9 Mar 98 to Late June 98
This journal has a table of contents. There are previous and next links, but they get snaggy towards the end. Warehouse is actually one big journal with four distinct designs, each with its own table of contents. These are the last months of living with my ex-husband, and the beginning of my life after him.

Warehouse - blue - 7 Dec 97 to 8 Mar 98
Here is another table of contents. However, you can't work your way forward and back because many of these entries have no previous and next links. I was still learning. At the time, I was studying web design the David Siegel way, and was inspired by an example he used of horizontal authoring.

|
Warehouse - black - 5 Nov 97 to 5 Dec 97
Yet another table of contents. No previous or next links. Like "immolation" above, it was born from emotional pain that took a bit of time to shake.
|
|
Warehouse - orange - 29 Sep 97 to 5 Nov 97
This part has not only a table of contents, but an archive page as well. I did not have previous and next links yet. During this time, I was just learning web design, so the pages are, frankly, hideous. The whole online journalling thing was a very new endeavor, although there were people at that time who'd been at it a year or two already.
